Juliet is a fully accredited member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and has an in-depth knowledge of planning law, policy and development control with a particular knowledge of regeneration and the development process in central and east London.
Graduating from the University of the West of England with a BA (Hons) and Masters in Town & Country Planning, with a period of study in Italy for her masters, Juliet joined a small Planning Consultancy focussing on development in London. Juliet has gained significant experience in project management, coordinating technical consultants and is particularly successful at working closely with clients and negotiating with local planning authorities. She has worked for and promoted the interests of a variety of clients including housing associations, developers, individual landowners and community groups.
Working for private and public sector organisations as well as and charitable organisations over the last 10 years, Juliet’s work has involved advising clients on projects ranging from residential led regeneration schemes, health centres and tall buildings to advising private clients on extensions and replacement dwellings.
Juliet has a wide practical knowledge of the planning system including development control, planning application and appeals; planning policy issues; public inquiry work; regeneration, notably in East London; housing renewal; EIA preparation and coordination; and negotiation of Section 106 agreements.
