David has an in-depth knowledge of planning law, policy and development control, coupled with extensive experience advising private landowners, commercial developers and local authorities. He started out in 2005 at a planning practice in Dun Laoghaire near Dublin, where he was involved in an extensive range of residential development projects. David then spent the next decade in London, gaining significant commercial experience working for several major planning firms as a lead retail impact and capacity modelling analyst.
David has proven expertise in project management, coordinating large teams of technical consultants while handling major mixed-use development projects and urban extension schemes. He has also written numerous retail and leisure studies for Local Authorities, providing the evidence base supporting their development plans, and advises on retail capacity, impact assessment and general planning matters.
